Residential Pond Installations
Smaller-scale residential applications of polyurea lining are typically used in landscaping enhancements. Polyurea can be spray-applied on a geotextile liner or even to the ground itself. Typical installations include decorative ponds, fountains or fish ponds.
Commercial Pond Installations
Polyurea is great for containing large-scale ponds as well, as there is essentially no limit in project scale due to its spray application. Polyurea can be spray-applied on a geotextile liner or even to the ground itself. Commercial applications of polyurea lining include irrigation ponds, golf course ponds and ponds at recreational areas.
It is essential to the operation of a canal that it doesn't leak, seep or leach, so as to both transport all of its contents and not affect its surrounding environment. Lining a canal is key to maintaining such separation, and polyurea is ideal for that application because of its seamless, monolithic properties. Polyurea can be applied over the surface of a canal to prevent or repair cracking, in the case of concrete canals. Polyurea lining can also be employed under a canal before it is poured, as a preventative measure against seepage.
