- A coating of polyurea can be applied to the interior and exterior of tanks involved in the nuclear power generation process.
- Post-generation, polyurea can be used to seal nuclear waste containers, as well as coat the interior and exterior of shipping containers during transportation to waste storage locations.
- During storage, polyurea can be used to coat secondary containment installations and is especially effective at counteracting the cracking tendency of concrete containment structures.
In all of these applications, polyurea forms a continuous, monolithic barrier between radioactive materials and the environment.
